Green Gas and Asia Renewables form joint venture for renewable energy development and investments in Asia

London and Singapore: Green Gas International B.V. and Asia Renewables Pte. Ltd. have established Asia Greentech Pte Ltd., a Singapore company created to pursue a joint venture to build, own and operate renewable energy and carbon abatement projects throughout Asia. The joint venture combines Asia Renewables' regional knowledge and transaction expertise with Green Gas International's proven track record of project implementation and operational excellence in emerging markets.

Asia Greentech will invest in and develop renewable energy projects utilising coal mine gas, bio-gas and bio-waste. The coal mine-related gas projects will include the capture and combustion of methane from underground coal seams and coal mine ventilation shafts. Bio-waste related activities will include the capture and combustion of methane from the biodegradation of organic waste, and biomass energy generation from the combustion of dry organic waste. The joint venture is already involved in several projects, in a late-stage of development, throughout China, India and the ASEAN region.
